At Mitt Motors, a motorcycle manufacturer based in Spain, aims to make motorcycling accessible to a broader audience, as the company is dedicated to selling affordable motorcycles, most of which are aimed at beginner riders.
However, this time, the brand is increasing the engine displacement with a new cruiser called 808 Traveler. And it’s very easy to see where this cruiser bike takes inspiration from.
For the record, Mitt Motors is indeed a Spanish brand, but like many other manufacturers, it sources many of its models from China and it seems that the 808 Traveler is no exception.
In terms of style, the 808 Traveler was clearly inspired by Harley-Davidson, boasting a design that closely resembles a Road Glide. There is a bulky fairing for great wind protection at the front and integrated luggage on the passenger backrest. Mitt even adorned the bike with plenty of chrome, with the Traveler’s crash bars and entire exhaust system featuring chrome finishes.
In terms of performance, we are facing an 800 cc twin-cylinder engine, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected, with a power output of around 60 hp and 72 Nm of torque. Although it does not come close to the performance values of its American inspiration, it is certain to be much lighter and more affordable, especially for beginner motorcyclists in Europe.
Lately, there has been a trend among motorcycles manufactured in China, where many of them imitate the iconic style of American cruisers. When analyzed in the context of the Asian market, bikes like these make sense thanks to their low seat height and relaxed ergonomics. In Europe, as is the case with Mitt Motors, cruisers have also become popular among beginners and experienced riders.
