The 27th FMP Touring Motorcycle Trophy, once again sponsored by BMW and Dunlop, is finally starting. It will begin with the strength of spring in one of the most beautiful places to observe it, in the Baixo Guadiana valley, subject to the vicissitudes of the troubled life of smugglers, which set the tone for this ’17th Moto-Rally of the Albufeira Motorcycle Club – Contraband Lands’, as expressed in the well-executed event poster.

According to the club’s website, this year the Moto-Rally starts in Mértola and goes down along the Guadiana River, through contraband lands to Monte Gordo.
Accommodation for Friday is the responsibility of each participant, so the MCA advises to quickly book a hotel in Mértola.
Accommodation on Saturday will be at Hotel Navegadores, Avenida da Catalunha, Monte Gordo, GPS Coordinates: 37º10’55” N / 7º27’03” W
Secretariat opens at 08:00 at the Parking Lot of Rua Dr. Afonso Costa, Mértola. First team starts at 09:01. GPS Coordinates: 37º38’29” N / 7º39’30” W
A dinner will be organized for those arriving in Mértola on Friday night. The location and cost will be communicated later by the club to all participants.
The Albufeira Motorcycle Club also requests all participants to bring 1 liter of milk, which will be donated to the CASA Association – Albufeira Homeless Support Center.

Moto-Rally Tour of Porto Motorcycle Club
“On April 20 and 21, 2024, our 28th Moto-Rally tour will take place in the Municipality of Castro Daire, through plateaus, beautiful typical villages with their granite constructions, and through the history and charms of a territory that extends beyond the Paiva River and the Montemuro mountain range. Registrations are limited to hotel capacity, with the right to use all the privileges of the excellent SPA hotel Termas do Carvalhal. Registrations open on March 16 (online) and close on April 10, or when the capacity is full.

Tourist Moto-Rally of the Western Bikers
“We already have a location for our 29th Tourist Moto-Rally, on May 18 and 19. It will be in the Municipality of Gavião, with the curiosity of being the only one in Alto Alentejo that has territory on both banks of the Tagus River, with the Parish of Belver to the North, and the rest to the South. Therefore, it will not be South of the Tagus, but with one leg on each side.
Registrations in normal regime will be limited to the accommodations contracted in Gavião and Belver, with guaranteed transportation to the restaurant on Saturday night. There will be registrations without accommodation for members of the Gavião Motorcycle Club who want to participate. Once the contracted accommodations are sold out, we may open registrations for those who want to come, but with accommodation at their own expense.
Therefore, this year will be: GAVIÃO, a different Alentejo.
