The picturesque landscapes of Styria will host the MotoGP World Championships this weekend, with the Austrian GP being the 11th round of the season (seventh in the case of MotoE). A title could potentially be decided at the Red Bull Ring.

In the premier class, MotoGP, Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) leads the standings with three points more than Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), followed by Enea Bastianini (Ducati) – who is 49 points behind and arrives with the added motivation from his dominance at the British GP two weeks ago. Ducati has dominated the season, and the same is expected in Austria, where the manufacturer has historically been strong.

Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) is fourth and looking to return to the podium. The KTM riders should also not be overlooked. The Austrian manufacturer is competing at home and is typically competitive in Spielberg. Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas/KTM) and Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM) are the best-placed in the championship, in sixth and seventh, respectively.

MT Helmets-MSi is at the top of the Moto2 World Championship, with Sergio García leading by 18 points over teammate Ai Ogura – who has already been confirmed as a MotoGP rider for next year in Austria. Joe Roberts (OnlyFans American Racing Team/Kalex) is third, 37 points behind the leader. The American is closely followed by the SpeedUp Racing duo, with Alonso López 11 points behind and Fermín Aldeguer 23 points back.

In Moto3, David Alonso (CFMOTO Aspar) is dominating: he has only missed the top two in three races so far and leads by 53 points over Iván Ortolá (MT Helmets-MSi/KTM), who comes off his second win in three races. Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GasGas Tech3) is third, 13 points behind Ortolá, while Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) – recently confirmed for Moto2 in 2025 – is fourth, two points behind Holgado.

The Austrian round is the penultimate of the MotoE season, where a champion could be crowned this weekend. Héctor Garzó (Dynavolt Intact GP) leads with 25 points more than Mattia Casadei (LCR E-Team), while Oscar Gutiérrez (Axxis-MSi) is third, 29 points behind. If Garzó leaves Spielberg with a 50-point lead, he will be champion if he wins the races; otherwise, he will need at least a 51-point lead to celebrate the title tomorrow.

Here is the full schedule for the Austrian GP (CET time), which you can follow live here on Motorcycle Sports.
