Starting from the next season, part of the fuel used in the motorcycles of the MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 World Championships will have to be of non-fossil origin.
A rule now approved by the Grand Prix Commission determines that at least 40 percent of the fuel must be non-fossil in all categories as early as next year. By 2027, it will have to be entirely non-fossil.
The specification and testing parameters have already been defined and agreed upon by FIM, IRTA, Dorna, MSMA, and official testing laboratories. Fuel suppliers participated in the definition process.
