Miguel Oliveira is in his second year with the Aprilia satellite team in MotoGP. However, it is very different from 2023 – RNF has been replaced by Trackhouse Racing, with new owners despite many of the members remaining, including the riders.
The Portuguese said on the 1 PARA 1 podcast that he feels there has been a fundamental change for the better in the satellite team of the Noale manufacturer – creating an ideal environment to achieve their goals:
– One of the things that may have changed a lot in the team was this openness for us to be able to say, directly to the owners, what we need, what we are missing in order to go further, to evolve. And when you have that work environment, where someone tells you, ‘Look, ask, what do you need?’, I think you have all the tools to stand out and achieve the goals we have.
Looking at the results, the 2024 MotoGP season did not have the ideal start for Oliveira, who only has one top ten finish by coming ninth in Portugal. However, there seem to be signs of progress, at a time when the Aprilia RS-GP is one of the most competitive bikes in the field.
