Trackhouse Racing has one of the most special rounds this weekend in its debut season in MotoGP: the Americas GP, in which it competes at home in the United States of America – more specifically in Austin.
The beginning of the year was not the best for the newest team in the paddock. Miguel Oliveira was the only rider to finish the races, finishing 15th in Qatar and ninth in Portugal. However, he is still far from the potential that is believed to have. On the other side of the garage, Raúl Fernández couldn’t finish the main races and is not yet classified in the World Championship.
Team manager Davide Brivio emphasized in a statement that Oliveira is getting more used to the bike and that we must continue on the path to achieve the results that are believed to be possible:
– We are very excited for our first race in the US as Trackhouse, the MotoGP team from America. Looking ahead to this weekend, Miguel is getting more accustomed to the 2024 bike and it is important that we continue to adapt and find a good base setup for him. He hasn’t had the results that we know he can achieve – the results that match our potential.
Regarding Fernández, the Italian commented: ‘Raúl, after two races with results that we really didn’t expect, is getting more and more comfortable, so we will try to capitalize on what we have built so far in the first two races. We must not forget that he missed most of the winter tests and there is much more to come from him‘.
