Miguel Oliveira was eliminated in the first phase of qualifying for the Qatar MotoGP, starting from 14th. The Trackhouse Racing rider even briefly became the fastest, but only managed to finish fourth in Q1.
With his first flying lap, #88 took the lead in the timesheets, but soon returned to the pits and dropped to third. Although he improved upon his return to the track, Oliveira remained in third.
By not improving on his final lap, the Portuguese rider ended up dropping to fourth, meaning he will start from 14th. His teammate, Raúl Fernández, led Q1 and will be fighting for a spot in the top 12 of qualifying.
