This was once again a particularly difficult weekend for the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team, with Miguel Oliveira being forced to retire from the race due to technical issues with his bike. Raúl Fernández also faced problems, with Razlan commenting on Sunday in Buriram.
‘It was a difficult weekend and a tough race. Miguel didn’t feel comfortable this week and, unfortunately, had a technical issue with the bike in Sunday’s race and had to retire,’ stated the founder and team principal in an official statement.
Next, he analyzed the race of both drivers, who had different fortunes in the race: ‘However, Raúl had a fantastic start, was fantastic in the first ten laps and was among the top 10. He dropped [in terms of position in the race] because he had a problem with the bike overheating. The heat that emanated from the track to the bike was a problem, as it made it difficult for him to breathe, a problem that was also faced by the Aprilia boys – Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales. However, he still managed to save a point’.
The championship now faces a longer break after this triple Asian round: ‘We will take a one-week break after three weeks of racing and traveling and then we will head to Malaysia, our home Grand Prix, where we will be fully prepared’.
