Miguel Oliveira finished the second free practice of the Americas GP of MotoGP in 12th. Aboard a Trackhouse Racing Aprilia, he completed two sequences of laps, with the first one being the best.
With his first flying lap, #88 placed himself in 14th position, but the time was far from representative. With improvements on the second attempt, he slightly moved up to 12th, at a time when his teammate, Raúl Fernández, was in second place.
New improvements on the third attempt left Oliveira in the top ten of the table, in a session where the times don’t count for anything. The goal of this FP2 is, as usual, to fine-tune the details before qualifying and the Sprint race.
When he finished the first sequence of laps, about 16 minutes from the checkered flag, the Portuguese was in eighth position and had already lapped in 2m02s. About six minutes later, Oliveira started a new series of laps.
This time, the rider from Almada never managed to improve his time, completing two laps in 2m03s and one in 2m08s. He lost some positions and finished the session in 12th, 0.712s behind the fastest, Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM).
