The 2023 season was undoubtedly the best of the two that Marco Bezzecchi has already had in MotoGP. He won races and finished in third place in the championship, but he still couldn’t get into the title fight – lacking some consistency in performance throughout the season.
The VR46 Racing Team rider is aware of what may have been lacking: ‘Maybe I lacked some experience, maybe I made too many mistakes. But I don’t regret it,’ he assured, as quoted by Motosan.es.
Still, Bezzecchi regretted the bad luck he had with an injury suffered during a training session towards the end of the season: ‘Perhaps the only real regret is the bad luck. The injury suffered at the Ranch came at a very delicate moment in the season and, besides the pain and everything, it affected the rest of the championship a bit. It’s true that I got back on track right after, but these are things that never leave you the same. I think it’s normal, isn’t it?’.
