Pedro Acosta is surprising the entire MotoGP paddock. Even rival constructors from KTM are paying attention and impressed with the Spanish rookie, who stepped onto the podium for the first time in the premier class at the Portuguese GP.
Max Biaggi, ambassador for Aprilia, had nothing but praise for the Red Bull GasGas Tech3 rider, stating to Sky Sport 24: ‘It’s beautiful that from time to time something new, something so overwhelming appears. Acosta started surprising everyone in his first year in Moto3, where he immediately won the World Championship. The former pilot admitted that he enjoys seeing Acosta succeed on a KTM, hoping to see him again fighting for top positions in the GP of the Americas: ‘I have to say it’s a certainty despite his young age, and we like that because it’s nice to see him on a bike that is neither a Ducati, nor a Japanese, nor an Aprilia, but rather a KTM.
