Maverick Viñales had his third season with Aprilia Racing in 2023, the second full-time. Although he has not yet managed to win, he also secured three podiums again, with one being very special and the highest point of his season, before revealing his goals for 2024.
In statements to Aprilia, the rider revealed his best moment of the past season, saying: ‘The day I was happiest in 2023 was in Montmeló, where I was on the podium and also with my wife. It was the first time my wife was on the podium’.
#12 then briefly spoke about his goals for the upcoming season, with the desire to take Aprilia to the ‘highest’ point possible: ‘My wish for 2024 is to reach my maximum potential and take Aprilia to the highest place we can be’.
Viñales finished the season in 7th place with 204 points, just behind his teammate Aleix Espargaró.
