Mauro Grassilli was announced this Thursday as the new sports director, marketing, and communications of Ducati Corse. He will take on the roles he already had along with those that belonged to Paolo Ciabatti – who will now be the general director of the new Ducati Corse Off-Road.
As has been the case so far, Ducati Corse will manage successful programs in MotoGP and the World Superbike Championship. Grassilli will report directly to the general director of Ducati Corse – which remains Gigi Dall’Igna. As for Ciabatti, he will continue to coordinate sporting activities in the national Superbike and Supersport championships.
This restructuring follows the creation of the Ducati Corse Off-Road division – which will take over the manufacturer’s motocross project from Borgo Panigale starting in 2024.
