In recent days, after Marc Márquez’s departure at the end of 2024 was made official, several riders have been linked to Repsol Honda. However, the most persistent rumors point to Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) and Miguel Oliveira (CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team/Aprilia) as strong options. Massimo Rivola, executive director of Aprilia Racing, hopes that neither of them will leave the project.
In statements to the website GPOne.com, the official commented: ‘I don’t have much to comment on, I’m nothing. While traveling to Indonesia, I read some news, but the same thing happened when I was going to Japan. I think Honda doesn’t know where to look and it’s fine if they move around.’
Nevertheless, Rivola stressed that he does not want to do without any of the riders – neither from Aprilia nor from RNF: ‘I wanted the four riders I have and I also hired them for 2024, from my side they are not going to change. None of them has told me anything and I want to keep them all. We also hired a rider in the middle of the season, Viñales, but in that case he became available.’
