Massimo Meregalli was pleased to see Fabio Quartararo finish the Barcelona GP in seventh place and revealed that the changes made to the bike were crucial in allowing the rider to have such a positive performance.
The Team Director started by talking about the chaotic start of the race: ‘Red flag situations like the one we had this Sunday always add a bit more tension, but our riders handled the situation well’.
As the rider himself said, going back to the fairing and settings from 2022 was very important and gave him good feelings, with the Yamaha team leader confirming this: ‘They had a good start, especially Fabio. We made some changes to the bike and that helped Fabio to fight with the other riders. Seventh place, coming from so far back on the grid, is a good result’.
