Mathematically ruled out of the title fight, Marco Bezzecchi arrives at the Qatar GP in MotoGP with the possibility of confirming third place overall. He holds a 69-point advantage over Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM) with 74 points still up for grabs.
The Italian from Mooney VR46 Racing Team commented: ‘I’m back on track in Qatar after two good results in Malaysia, although I never managed to be completely comfortable in riding and I regret this a bit because Sepang is one of my favorite tracks’.
In Qatar, Bezzecchi didn’t hide his intention to secure third place once and for all: ‘I also really like Losail, the atmosphere and the fact that we race at night, and then we arrive here with the certainty that the third place in the championship is very close. It would be a great result for me and for the whole team, the staff had a great season and deserve it’.
