Marco Bezzecchi arrives at the Malaysian GP fighting for a top three finish in the MotoGP World Championship. The title is already hardly within reach, but in his second season he is close to securing, at the very least, third place overall… with a Ducati from last year in the independent team Mooney VR46 Racing Team.
After the triple rounds in Indonesia, Australia, and Japan, the Italian admitted that it was good to have a week off to recover – he recently fractured a collarbone: ‘Having a full week of recovery after three very busy weeks, just like the previous ones, was a treat. I rested, recovered as much as possible, recharged my batteries, and I am ready to face this end of the season at my best‘.
Confident that Sepang has characteristics that can favor him, Bezzecchi emphasized that he wants to be one of the protagonists in the final phase of the season: ‘Sepang, along with several other tracks in this final phase of the season, is among my favorites. Very fast with long straights, an aspect that can be favorable to our technical setup. It won’t be easy, but we will do our best to be among the protagonists from here to Valencia‘.
