After the operation on his right clavicle last weekend, Marco Bezzecchi will try to compete in the Indonesian MotoGP. However, his presence in Mandalika is not guaranteed.
The Italian from the Mooney VR46 Racing Team explained that it will not be easy to be able to compete this coming weekend: ‘It will be a real race against time to try to be on track on Friday morning in Mandalika. The injury was not necessary, especially at this crucial moment of the season. Immediately after the surgery, we saw the possibility of trying to participate in the GP. We waited 48 hours and after the last medical consultations and a very intense physiotherapy program until the last moment before departure, we decided with the team to try to reach Indonesia to be fit to compete. It will not be easy, it will be tough and a very challenging weekend, but I would like to be on track‘.
Bezzecchi also said: ‘A big thank you to the team, the doctors, the Academy, and all the fans who supported me in the last few days, I received several messages of affection and support. That definitely gave me an extra boost‘.
