Marco Bezzechi underwent successful surgery for a fracture in his right collarbone after an incident that occurred last Saturday during a training session at Valentino Rossi’s team facilities in Tavullia.
Following the surgical intervention, the Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider is already recovering and the outlook is that he may participate in the Indonesian Grand Prix next weekend at the Lombok circuit.
However, the next few hours will be crucial to assess the evolution of the rider’s health condition and how he will respond to the tests he will undergo.
Misfortune comes in the final stretch of the season and in a period where we will have three Grand Prix races on the calendar by the end of this month of October: Indonesia, Australia (on the 22nd), and Thailand (on the 29th).
There are six races left in the season and Bezzecchi currently holds the third place in the overall standings with 54 points less than the leader and compatriot Pecco Bagnaia, and 51 points behind the Spanish rider Jorge Martín, the MotoGP World Championship runner-up.
