Marco Bezzecchi was the third classified in the MotoGP World Championship in 2023, having achieved his first two victories in the premier category. However, the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider is only going into his third season, so he does not have the level of experience and knowledge of many opponents.
The Italian told SPEEDWEEK.com that he has a lot to improve, starting with his approach to each GP: ‘Of course, there are several things that can be improved, it’s always the case. You never stop learning in this sport – in any sport. In MotoGP, the level is very high at the moment and you can really make a difference with the details. There are many things I would like to work on. My approach to weekends, for example, I always want to be calm, like last year, but maybe a little more. I want to be completely relaxed in my head so that I can focus better on important decisions when I’m on the bike and in the garage. I want to improve my riding, my training, and everything to be stronger’.
Regarding how to improve in the garage, Bezzecchi admitted the added value of having Valentino Rossi on the team: ‘Having Vale is a huge advantage. It’s fantastic when he’s there, but he also supports me a lot when he’s at home. I can ask him anything and he will always try to help me. I can also compare myself to others, I can study the data and try to improve’.
