Marco Bezzecchi’s adaptation to his new bike for 2024 is not easy and the evolution is taking its time but happening gradually, and that’s exactly what the rider felt already in Losail.
After the tests in Sepang, the Italian rider from Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing admitted that he had to make some substantial changes to his riding style, given the different style that this bike “demands” to get the most out of it, and he seems to have found – at least in part – the way to achieve better riding, mainly due to “some changes,” without specifying which ones.
In words to the official championship website, the 25-year-old rider who finished third in the world in 2023 explained some of his biggest problems: ‘I was having difficulties stopping the bike, not in a straight line, but more with the angle [of inclination] compared to the old bike.’ And as he had said, he made some changes to his riding style, which, combined with others, had an effect:
– This bike has a different style, so I had to change my riding a bit. So I needed a little more time, but we also made some changes to the bike that helped a lot. This was the biggest step.
