Marco Bezzecchi was involved in an unusual incident at the entrance to the pit lane during the last day of MotoGP pre-season testing in Losail. Although he did not suffer any injuries, he did fall, remaining “at the door” of the pit lane while his Ducati entered.
The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider was questioned about the moment by the press. In his response, Bezzecchi explained how everything happened:
– I was riding with the test specification of the front tire, which is a bit harder compared to our medium front tire that we had here. And I was a bit on the limit with time to try it out. So I did the sequence of laps and it was fantastic on track to be honest – it was very good. But on the entry lap, I was very slow and when I reached the entrance to the pit lane and braked for the speed limiter, I lost the front end at the entrance to the pit lane. So, my bike went into the pit lane, but I didn’t. And I almost hit the cars and everything, causing a disaster. I’m the only one who can do these things. […]. Everyone told me, “Ah, to do the stoppie.” No, fortunately not. But I would rather fall to do the stoppie, at least I tried and fell. I didn’t expect it and found myself on the ground, but everything was fine.
