The absence of Jorge Martín from the Aprilia Racing garage is currently an advantage for Marco Bezzecchi, believes Neil Hodgson, as the team concentrates resources on the Italian and his evolution, which has worked in his favor, even when it comes to the development of the RS-GP.

Neil Hodgson spoke about the new recruit of the Italian formation, quoted by Crash: ‘His teammate is now injured, but that has been good for Bezzecchi. He gets all the attention from the team and can direct the development of the bike towards his riding style. They are still experimenting and he can control that’.

Nevertheless, the TNT Sports commentator assures that ‘not having a super fast teammate collecting data is a big disadvantage throughout the weekend’, recalling how Ducati had such a large advantage for so long: ‘They performed so well because they had eight bikes, which makes it easier to evaluate tire durability’.

Ducati continues to be precisely the most represented manufacturer in the paddock, with six bikes, and both Bezzecchi and Martín come from the Italian sphere, from Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team and Prima Pramac Racing (2024) respectively.
