Last year, Marco Bezzecchi had the opportunity to accept a move to Prima Pramac in MotoGP in 2024, replacing Johann Zarco to have a Ducati Desmosedici GP24 in his hands. However, he chose to stay with VR46 Racing Team knowing that he would have last year’s version of the bike.
The rider told SPEEDWEEK.com that he didn’t choose only with his heart: ‘Of course, I always give importance to what makes me feel good. But it’s not just a decision of the heart. Behind it, there is a precise consideration that – because I know myself – I agreed with myself. I was thinking about what could be best for me‘.
Bezzecchi explained further: ‘Nowadays in MotoGP, you have to be immediately fast. In my mind, I tried in various ways to understand if I could have immediately reached the same speed with other people, because you have to be there in no time‘.
