Yamaha is committed to recovering the path to good results in MotoGP, with a strong investment in an ambitious project to achieve this. Fabio Quartararo is part of these plans, having recently renewed his contract until 2026.
In recent months, there are clear signs of change at the Iwata manufacturer, with the hiring of new technicians – such as Max Bartolini, who came from Ducati earlier this year. More than just promises, Quartararo sees a new mentality, and has given this vote of confidence to Yamaha.
The Frenchman told Canal+ that the case of Marc Márquez may have served as a kind of alert to the manufacturer, mentioning indications that something is different:
– I believe that Márquez’s move from Honda to Ducati alerted many people at Yamaha. They hired many new engineers and many things are happening in Italy and not in Japan. The speed at which parts can be changed has completely transformed. I think it was very interesting for me to continue at Yamaha.
