Marc Márquez is only in the fourth round with Ducati, but his growth and competitiveness aboard the Italian bike are clear. Frankie Carchedi sees the rider getting better and better and is excited to work with the former world champion, in an adventure so far with ups and downs, but praised the rider’s mentality and will to win.
The chief mechanic of the Gresini Racing rider spoke to SPEEDWEEK.com about #93: ‘From day one, we have been working tirelessly to optimize Marc’s performance. It has been an exciting and rewarding journey, full of ups and downs, but we have always kept our focus on the ultimate goal: competing at the highest level’.
Márquez is getting better and more accustomed to the bike, he assured, while the team tries their best to provide him with all the necessary tools to start working in the best possible way: ‘The adaptation to the Desmosedici has been a continuous process. Marc has shown a remarkable willingness to absorb new information and apply it on the track. We are constantly exploring new ideas and strategies to improve his performance’.
For Carchedi, the desire and hunger that the rider has for victories is clear: ‘He is an exceptional competitor with a winning mentality. His ability to maintain composure in critical moments is truly admirable and is proof of his skill and determination’.
And it is certain, believes the team leader, that there is much to achieve together: ‘We are committed to continue improving and reaching new heights together. Marc is an exceptional rider and I am excited to be part of his team. Together we can achieve great things’.
