Like several other riders, Marc Márquez will take advantage of the last few weeks before the MotoGP pre-season tests to return to the speed tracks. As it is not allowed by regulations to test the Ducati Desmosedici GP23 yet, the rider will be in Portimão for the first time with a production Panigale V4.
According to Motorsport.com, the Spanish rider will be at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve on January 29th and 30th. Enea Bastianini, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), Franco Morbidelli, Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati), and all other riders from satellite teams who want to participate will also be present.
This will be an opportunity to work on physical preparation and regain sensations on a motorcycle before the official tests with the MotoGP bikes, although they are not comparable experiences at all.
The two days of testing are part of the period from January 27th to 30th, for which Kawasaki has reserved private tests for the World Superbike Championship in Portimão – joining many of its competitors in that championship, including Ducati.
