After the first laps in Jerez, Marc Márquez was the fastest with a 0.605s advantage over Jack Miller, the Australian. Maverick Viñales was third, Fabio Quartararo fourth, Johann Zarco fifth. With the rain starting to ease, more action and speed were expected on the Spanish circuit. An unusual setback for @88jorgemartin! 😱

On the third lap Dani Pedrosa and Pedro Acosta were among the fastest but Marc Márquez, once again, climbed to the top of the leaderboard on his fourth lap, with Raúl Fernández moving up to second place, with two Aprilias just behind, Aleix Espargaró and Miguel Oliveira, Miller closing the group of the five fastest.
Times continued to drop with over 10 minutes of the session elapsed and always with Marc Márquez in the lead, now with six laps. Maverick Viñales was meanwhile the new third fastest rider on track but a distant 1.014s behind #93. Pedrosa was fourth ahead of Oliveira.
Meanwhile the session reached a phase where many riders began to move towards the team garages but before that, Oliveira, on his seventh lap, reached third place. However, the Portuguese rider dropped two positions shortly after due to the improvement made by Viñales (third) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (fourth)
Before the last eight minutes of the session, this was the top ten, once again with changes, with DiGia’s improvement:
Entering the final four minutes some riders were determined to “show up” in the session, with Franco Morbidelli appearing among the fastest, in fifth.
The session was approaching the end with Marc Márquez leading, still with the sixth lap as his best, in 1:48.183s, over 10s slower than yesterday’s times.
Shortly after and already in the final moments of the session Pecco Bagnaia was among the fastest, being third in the session.
