Ducati Corse is excited to confirm a two-year contract with Marc Márquez. At the end of this season, the Spanish rider, currently with the Gresini Racing MotoGP team on the Desmosedici GP, will move to the Ducati Lenovo team. The eight-time world champion (31 years old) will team up with Francesco Bagnaia, riding the prestigious red Ducati until 2026.
This move promises to make the 2025 season very exciting, and we can’t wait to see how the two riders will get along in the same garage with the same colors.
Marc Márquez: “I am very happy to be able to wear the red colors of the Ducati factory team in MotoGP next season. Basically, from the first contact with the Desmosedici GP, I liked riding it and adapted well immediately. From that moment on, I knew that my goal was to continue on this path, to keep growing and move to the team where Pecco Bagnaia has been world champion for two consecutive years.”
“I am happy to take this big step in 2025 and grateful for the trust that Ducati has placed in me. Finally, I want to thank Nadia, Carlo, Michele, and the entire Gresini Racing family for opening their team’s doors to me at a delicate moment in my career. Now, we will continue to have fun and give our best in the remaining races of the current season, which is my priority now.”
This announcement marks one of the most significant transfers in recent MotoGP history, promising a future season full of excitement and high expectations. The partnership between Márquez and Bagnaia in the Ducati factory team will certainly be one of the highlights of the 2025 championship.
