After a decade at Repsol Honda, Marc Márquez started riding the Ducati Desmosedici GP on Tuesday – only the second manufacturer he has known since making his MotoGP debut in 2013.
On the test day in Valencia, the Gresini rider quickly found a good pace and was among the fastest from an early stage. At one point, he was leading the time sheets.
The Spaniard finished fourth with a time of 1m29.424s, 0.171s slower than leader Maverick Viñales (Aprilia). Márquez, who was the second best Ducati behind Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46), completed 49 laps.
