Marc Márquez abandoned his last MotoGP race with Repsol Honda this Sunday in Valencia, following an incident with Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati). Earlier, in the first lap, he had a disagreement with Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team/Ducati) which caused him to lose ground.
The Spaniard was questioned about the situation and blamed the Italian rival, considering that it was not the first time he had made a less correct maneuver in a duel between them:
– I will not waste much time on this pilot, because during the season he has already pushed me out several times. It’s normal. I was on the inside, he tried to maintain an outside trajectory to come back in turn four. But if you are on the outside you will lose if the pilot on the inside maintains speed. And that’s what we did: from turn two to turn four we were side by side. And then he tried to maintain an outside trajectory to come back in turn four. But I will not waste any more time with him.
In an interview with DAZN, Márquez was even more vehement in his criticism, stating: ‘I will not waste time on this character‘.
