The accident between Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia was one of the hot moments of the Portuguese MotoGP GP – naturally capable of generating some controversy and even tension, as Bagnaia is a Ducati factory rider and Márquez is with the Gresini satellite team.
The Spaniard considers it was a racing incident – albeit on the edge. In his view, the two-time world champion had a wrong approach at that stage of the race, when fifth place was at stake.
Asked if he spoke with Ducati’s general manager, Gigi Dall’Igna, Márquez clarified: ‘I don’t talk to the Ducati staff, only with Davide [Tardozzi]. But the good thing is that they have telemetry and they can see exactly what happened‘.
