At the end of November, Marc Márquez tested the Ducati Desmosedici GP23 for the first time, with which he will compete in the 2023 MotoGP season as part of Gresini. Now that the new year has begun, he can finally talk publicly about his new bike.
The Spanish rider revealed to DAZN a good initial adaptation: ‘I was able to adapt more quickly than expected because I felt very comfortable right away. There is a lot of feeling and the lap times came without pushing too hard. In the test, at the end of the day, we were able to use new soft tires and I also felt good‘.
That being said, Márquez acknowledged that he still has a lot of work to do: ‘There are things I need to understand in terms of positions and communication with the team. It’s logical because I’ve been working with the same group for 11 years, but they have received me very well. Everything is very pleasant and it helps me to be more relaxed‘.
