After three very challenging seasons without the expected results, Marc Márquez made the decision to terminate his contract with Repsol Honda one year before its end in order to join Gresini in MotoGP in 2024.
In recent months, there has been speculation that his relationship with team director Alberto Puig may have deteriorated. However, Efrén Vázquez believes there are no signs of that: ‘Many thought that Puig was not getting along with Marc, but the lines that Marc posted about Alberto do not convey any of that, quite the opposite‘.
Quoted by Motosan.es, the former rider also mentioned a particular aspect of Puig’s character: ‘If you are with Alberto, he will stand by you to the end, but if you are outside of his team or circle, you are as important as a stone by the side of the road‘.
