The 2024 Hard Enduro World Championship is about to begin and Manuel Lettenbichler is excited to start his title defense in a week’s time at the Valleys Hard Enduro in southern Wales. His desire is evident after dominating in 2023: to replicate the powerful performance achieved.
The German racing with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has shown how eager he is to get the action started: ‘I can’t wait to start the 2024 Hard Enduro season! I don’t even know what to say about last year, I entered the season with no expectations, but after winning the first rounds I realized I had a chance to do something unique. I had a perfect season and making history in our sport is really cool!’
Then the rider talked about his pre-season and how he prepared for the title defense: ‘There are many different things we did to prepare for the race during the pre-season. I focused a lot on my physical condition, but we also had many bike tests to do. I tried to race in as many different disciplines as possible, like enduro, hard enduro, and motocross, so I am prepared for everything this season.’
And his goals are clear: ‘Going into this year, we have much more experience with this bike and what settings work best for each race. Of course, I want to replicate what I did last year, but let’s just start the season and see how it goes. I can’t wait to start the championship in Wales!’
