Manuel González’s performance is becoming hard to put into words. This Friday, he once again broke the Moto2 lap record at Silverstone to lead the British GP Practice.

After Jake Dixon (Elf Marc VDS/Boscoscuro) topped the early flying laps, the Spaniard from Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP moved into the lead after seven minutes and held the position for nearly half an hour.

Diogo Moreira defies gravity and history by seizing victory in Assen with stunning finesse

After briefly being overtaken by Filip Salac (Elf Marc VDS/Boscoscuro) and teammate Senna Agius, González finished in style by setting a new circuit lap record: 2m02.111s.

Agius ended up second, 0.429s behind, with Salac in third and Diogo Moreira (Italtrans Racing Team/Kalex) in fourth. Barry Baltus (Fantic Racing Lino Sonego/Kalex) recorded the fifth-fastest time.

In the fight for direct access to the second phase of qualifying, the last to make the cut was Albert Arenas (Italjet Gresini/Kalex), with the 14th time — just 0.075s ahead of Marcos Ramírez (OnlyFans American Racing Team/Kalex).
