Malaguti surprised the electric off-road market with the XAM Offroad. This innovative prototype promises to redefine the boundaries between bicycles and motorcycles, offering a unique experience in the off-road segment.

The XAM Offroad is powered by an air-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor, which develops a nominal power of 5 kW at 2500 rpm, with a peak of 11 kW at 1780 rpm. The torque is impressive, with a nominal value of 21 Nm at 2500 rpm and a maximum of 58 Nm, ensuring an immediate and powerful response on difficult terrains.

With an estimated top speed of about 80 km/h, this electric motorcycle is not left behind by its combustion counterparts. The 74V and 2,590 Wh battery promises a range of 1 to 2 hours in trail/enduro use, with a charging time between 2 to 3 hours, ideal for breaks between riding sessions.

Versatility is a key feature, with four riding modes available to adapt to different terrains and riding styles.

When it comes to the chassis, the XAM Offroad does not disappoint. It is equipped with hydraulically actuated disc brakes with a 200 mm diameter and 4-piston calipers. The front suspension features an inverted telescopic fork with 200 mm of travel, while the rear uses a mono-shock with 185 mm of travel, providing excellent impact absorption capacity on rough terrains.

With a running order weight of only 68 kg, the XAM Offroad promises to be agile and easy to handle. Its battery, weighing 15 kg, is relatively light for the capacity it offers. The maximum allowed weight is 154 kg, offering a good margin for the rider and any additional equipment.

The compact dimensions, with a length of 1,950 mm, width of 770 mm and height of 1,080 mm, combined with a generous ground clearance of 320 mm, make this motorcycle ideal for facing the most demanding off-road challenges.

Malaguti emphasizes that the XAM Offroad will allow riders to reach places inaccessible with combustion motorcycles, thanks to its high suspension travel and, especially, its low noise level. The brand promises an exciting riding experience, proving that “being silent has never been so exciting”.

This entry of Malaguti into the electric off-road segment marks a significant step in the evolution of off-road motorcycles, combining performance, sustainability, and innovation in a unique and promising package.
