Weather forecasts indicate bad weather in Phillip Island this Sunday – with rain and wind – and so it was decided to bring forward the main race of the Australian GP to Saturday. It is a swap with the sprint race.
According to the organization, the decision was made in order to provide a spectacle as safe as possible not only for the participants, but also for the fans who travel to the circuit.
The main race is now scheduled for this Saturday (October 21) at 05:10 (Portugal Continental time). If weather conditions allow, the sprint race will be on Sunday at 04:00.
