The Sepang and Losail circuit records were broken during the MotoGP pre-season tests. Despite being an early stage of the year, the bikes are already showing faster speeds than last year, especially those from European manufacturers (Aprilia, Ducati, and KTM).
Luca Marini, who is one of the riders for Repsol Honda, admitted to the press that he was surprised by the pace he saw in the tests, but not by Honda’s pace, which he considers to be normal:
– I didn’t expect great improvements from the others because the lap times they did here [Losail] and also in Sepang are incredible. As for our lap time, I think it’s very normal. At this point, when we start from the back, we need to be patient. It will happen.
