The first season at Repsol Honda is not easy for Luca Marini. The Italian has not scored points in the first five rounds, on a non-competitive RC213V that is still getting to know.
The Italian rider explained that he is currently trying to adapt his riding style to one that he sees Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) and Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) applying:
– I’m trying, I’m trying to work on my style or my position, because now you can see that Pecco and Martín can make a difference with their bodies. So, they are the ones pushing this way with their bodies below the bike and making the bike turn.
In Marini’s view, this way of riding will be essential for the future and that’s why he is trying to get there, while still giving his maximum effort in the results: ‘For me, this will be the key in MotoGP for the next years. Everyone is trying to make this change. I’m working on it, but every lap I’m attacking at 100 percent‘.
