Luca Marini’s adaptation to the Honda RC213V began this Tuesday at the testing day in Valencia. The rider finished in the top ten, being the strongest of the four from the Japanese manufacturer.
Throughout the day, the Italian completed 72 laps, the best of them in 1m29.956s. He was 0.703s behind Maverick Viñales’ (Aprilia) leading time. His Repsol Honda teammate, Joan Mir, finished in 13th place, 0.093s slower.
Johann Zarco and Takaaki Nakagami, from the Honda LCR satellite team, finished in 17th and 21st, respectively. Naturally, lap times in testing must be interpreted with caution, as the focus was on working on various new features on the bikes for development towards 2024.
