Luca Marini completed another day aboard the Honda RC213V in the start of the MotoGP tests in Sepang. The rider finished with the 17th time and was able to already test a new engine on his bike.
The Repsol Honda rider spoke about the differences he felt: ‘It’s faster. Maybe it gives a little more control, more in your hands. There’s a bit more power. We’re struggling with grip because now the torque is a bit higher. So, we need to be a little more careful with the throttle – because now the power is there, you can ride faster because the entry is stronger‘.
Despite being one of the fastest in top speed, Marini downplayed the achievement: ‘It was in a slipstream unfortunately. I believe all the other riders did it on their own‘.
