Luca Marini was the last classified in the Sprint race. The Italian rider was the only Honda rider to finish the race, which clearly shows all the difficulties that the Japanese manufacturer continues to face.
In the debrief, the Italian rider talked about the race and the difficulties he is facing with his new bike.
– ‘We have to work and stay united. We will try to improve for the race, we have very good data because Honda won here last year. This is the first time I know where Honda is strong, but this year is a different situation. During the race, I had some grip problems, I was focused on doing fast laps, but we will definitely improve tomorrow.’
The Repsol Honda Team rider also spoke about the differences in the circuit this year compared to last year: ‘It wasn’t just the tires that changed, but it seems that the circuit has improved a lot, as well as the tires, it wasn’t just the teams that improved this year.’
