Luca Marini said goodbye to Losail with a 20th place (long race) and a 21st place (in the Sprint) but he has already lifted his head and is now heading to Portugal where his wish is to continue improving with Honda.
The Italian, who was aboard a Ducati Desmosedici last year, is now eager to “rediscover” the rollercoaster that is the Portuguese circuit with his new bike: ‘The best thing we can do right now is keep racing, so it’s great to go to Portugal and to Portimão. It’s a very different track from where we started the year, so I’m curious to see how the Honda performs there’.
On the path to getting the most out of his current bike, the goal is to continue working on his feelings: ‘We are developing the bike, working with Honda, gathering information on different tracks to improve. Our goal is to find a better feeling with the bike to be more competitive’.
