This week, Honda is testing at Mugello for MotoGP, in a private session where Yamaha will also be present. The Japanese manufacturers are looking to take advantage of the concessions in the best way to develop their bikes – which are currently the least competitive in the field.
For Honda, this is a test of special importance. The manufacturer with the golden wing is clearly the weakest link in MotoGP at the moment – as was seen again at the French GP, where the best rider was Johann Zarco (LCR Honda) in 12th place.
Luca Marini will participate in the Mugello test. After the Le Mans round, the rider revealed that he is excited and encouraged by what will be tested at the Italian circuit:
– It’s a good compromise, several parts. We have good expectations for this test. It is certain that we will not change the “DNA”, but for me it can be a very good improvement, and especially by following this direction we can take other steps towards the end of the season.
