Luca Marini was the fastest of the MotoGP testing day in Misano. Just like in the morning, the rider reached the top of the time sheet at the end of the afternoon session, being one of two to lap in 1m30s.
The rider from Mooney VR46 Racing Team completed his best lap in 1m30.602s. It was enough to stay 0.234s ahead of Maverick Viñales (Aprilia), who was one of the men to top the table during the afternoon.
Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM) was third, demoting Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) to fourth with his penultimate lap. Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM) closed the top five.
With 50 laps, Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) accumulated the most kilometers in the afternoon – working with the new engine in the YZR-M1. His best lap earned him the sixth time, 0.575s off the top.
Honda presented the prototype for 2024, tested by the Repsol Honda riders. Marc Márquez set the 14th time of the afternoon, while Joan Mir finished 16th.
Regarding Oliveira, the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team rider – who has already been able to work with the Aprilia RS-GP of 2023 – made improvements in the last 45 minutes to finish seventh at 0.630s from Marini. He managed to improve his fastest time of the San Marino GP weekend.
