There are already three wildcards confirmed for the MotoGP Spanish GP. Lorenzo Savadori will compete in the fourth round of the season with Aprilia, returning to the tracks competitively for the first time since last year’s Valencia GP.
The Italian participated in five rounds of 2023 – two as a substitute in a satellite team for an injured rider, and three as a wildcard in the factory team of the Noale manufacturer.
In a statement, Savadori said: ‘I can’t wait to compete in MotoGP again. It will be an important weekend for me and Aprilia. I will be racing with a lab bike. We will have several new solutions to test and I will have the chance to try out some new features for Aleix [Espargaró] and Maverick [Viñales]. I will give it my all!‘.
After the Spanish GP, on the following Monday, there will be a test day in Jerez, making this round ideal for wildcards. It is already known that Dani Pedrosa will be with Red Bull KTM, while Stefan Bradl will compete with Honda.
