This Friday, Lin Jarvis’ departure from Monster Energy Yamaha in MotoGP was announced – where he has been team manager for over two decades. The Briton will step down at the end of the season.
Although his successor has not been officially revealed yet, it is already defined. As for Jarvis, in an interview with the site Motorsport.com, he said he still doesn’t know what the future holds for him.
What is certain is that this change comes at a time when Yamaha has an ambitious project to return to success in MotoGP. Both parties felt that it was the ideal time for Jarvis to step down.
Fabio Quartararo is one of the riders for the Japanese team and recently renewed his contract until 2026. When asked if this change is disappointing, the Frenchman replied:
– Of course, Lin is someone who has stayed… I don’t think there is a team boss who has stayed as long as he has. But it is certain that he will still be around a bit. He won’t be really 100% like now, but he will still come to several races.
