The tenth place in the Spanish GP did not take away the brilliance of the season that Pedro Acosta is having in MotoGP in his debut year. After four rounds, he is in fourth in the championship, and now he arrives at the French GP.
The Red Bull GasGas Tech3 rider has retired from two out of three races at Le Mans on all occasions since joining the world championships. Something he wants to change this weekend at his team’s home:
– It’s always a track that I like, every time I’ve been here in the last three years I’ve been fast, but I always crashed. So, we will try to make this the first season where we finish a race. It’s the second consecutive home GP. I’m very happy to see all the fans and I’m very happy to share this weekend with my entire team.
Despite the strong start to the season, Acosta expects to face difficulties eventually – aware that failure is part of the learning process: ‘I don’t think anyone in the team expected this. It’s true that there is still a long way to go, we are only at the beginning. We need to fail several times to learn. So, it’s true that we are in a pleasant and sweet moment, but surely difficult times will come sooner or later‘.
