Typically, tours – whether by motorcycle, on foot, by car, or any other means of transportation – lead participants through beautiful and unique landscapes. However, the initiative La Ruta + Fea does the opposite.
Based in Spain, La Ruta + Fea addresses the numerous wildfires that annually devastate the country, destroying forested areas and causing environmental, economic, and social damage. Triumph has joined forces with this initiative.
La Ruta + Fea aims to engage the motorcycling community in this cause, guiding participants through areas affected by fires with a focus on social responsibility and solidarity.
Several routes are available, each varying in duration and distance. The route through Alcalá de la Jovada in Alicante covers 54 km and takes approximately 1 hour and 21 minutes, traversing an area that experienced a wildfire in 2022.
Another option is the Belascoaín route, which is 78 km long and takes about 1 hour and 43 minutes, also affected by fires in 2022. The route through Casas de Miravete/Parque Nacional de Monfragüe offers a 114 km journey, taking about two hours to complete. This area was the site of a severe fire in July 2022 that burned more than 2,356 hectares.
Additionally, in collaboration with ReTree and BikerWood, a program has been developed where motorcyclists can contribute by planting trees (less than 15 euros per tree) to help restore the vegetation damaged by the fires. Triumph España has endorsed the project, aiming to promote motorcycle tourism, support regional economies, and contribute to environmental sustainability and carbon footprint reduction.
